With the announcement of Vince McMahon’s upcoming Netflix docuseries, Cody Rhodes faced tough questions about the series during the WWE Bash in Berlin media scrum. Rhodes appeared uncomfortable with the topic, and the decision to bring it up at this time has faced criticism from many online.

While speaking during the post-Bash in Berlin media scrum, Cody Rhodes was asked if he knew about the Janel Grant lawsuit and whether the locker room knew it properly, as he was asked why the WWE locker room has remained so silent about the lawsuit.

Jim Ross recently commented on this issue in an episode of Grilling JR. He praised Rhodes for handling the situation well and noted that he’s known Rhodes since he was a child. Ross questioned whether the questions were genuine journalism or just sensationalism meant to provoke a reaction.

“It’s just questions people ask to get a reaction. Is it really journalism or is it sensationalism?”

Ross criticized the timing and content of the question, expressing frustration that such a topic was brought up. He questioned why the media would ask about the locker room’s reaction and suggested that only Paul “Triple H” Levesque should address questions about McMahon, as Triple H understands the sensitivity of the topic and knows it might not be wise to discuss it.

“‘Why hasn’t the rest of the locker room talked about it?’ Are you s**ting me? What are you talking -– are you kidding me?”

The lawsuit is currently on hold pending federal investigation. Regardless, Cody Rhodes handled the situation to the best of his ability and many fans will likely agree with what Jim Ross had to say when it comes to the question being inappropriate.
