Jimmy Carter Funeral Service - How to Stream & Watch Online

Former President of the United States Jimmy Carter’s funeral service is taking place today (Thursday, January 9).

The late 39th President’s casket arrived in Washington D.C. on Tuesday (January 6), followed by a procession to the U.S. Capitol, the Rotunda service and the start of the lying in state.

Several news networks will be covering the ceremony, and there is also a way to watch via livestream.

ABC‘s ABC News Live First will begin coverage with anchor Diane Macedo at 8 a.m. EST for the Capitol Hill procession, followed by a simulcast of network-wide coverage. Watch it on ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.

CBS‘s Norah O’Donnell will anchor CBS News Special Reports on network and on CBS News 24/7 She will also lead an afternoon special report on network and streaming.

FOX‘s America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino will report from the State funeral starting at 9 a.m. ET.

On MSNBC, Morning Joe will kick off special coverage of the State Funeral. Co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mia Brzezinski will host from outside the Washington Cathedral, where the funeral service will be held. Andrea Mitchell will join them, and she will then be joined by anchors Ana Cabrera at 10 a.m. and later José Díaz-Balart at 11 a.m.

NewsNation will air a special broadcast led by Leland Vittert from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. Chris Stirewalt and Blake Burman will also contribute, as will Washington correspondents Kellie Meyer and Joe Khalil.

The former President died at 100 at the end of 2024.
