EXCLUSIVE: Empire Studios and Stryke-Force Films have teamed on the Christmas flick Jingle All The Slay starring Nick Sagar, Ricky Norwood, and Alexa Adeosun.
The film, written by Charley McDougall, is set to begin production in late November. Producers are Jamie McLeod-Ross (The Reckoning), Charley McDougall, Nick Sagar, and Bradley Stryker, with executive producers Arthur Corber, Stryke-Force Films, and Empire Studios. The producers will be selling territories at next week’s AFM.
The film’s official synopsis reads: Hank Carter, a highly skilled hitman, has one last chance to save his marriage. Determined to give his family the perfect Christmas at a luxurious lake mansion, Hank tries to hide his dangerous profession. But when a bounty is placed on his head, waves of holiday-themed hitmen descend on the mansion, and Hank must fend them off using every Christmas decoration in sight—all while keeping his family in the dark.
Sagar, Norwood, and Adeosun all previously starred together in The Princess Switch. Bradley Stryker, best known for Terrifier 3, will direct the flick.
“Who doesn’t love a bit of festive fun mixed with some intense action?” Sagar said in a statement. “We’re creating something completely fresh and can’t wait for everyone to join us for the ride.”
McDougall added: “This is a film we all know and grew up on being huge fans of 90s movies. For me, the golden era of cinema, we are blending the Christmas cheer of Jingle All the Way with the blueprint of films like Rush Hour and John Wick.”
