The Met Gala may be fashion’s biggest night, but stars’ prep processes go beyond vying for spots on the best-dressed list.

Before walking Monday’s red carpet, a slew of celebrities entrusted their famous faces to aesthetician Joanna Czech, who combined her signature facial with the buzzy Lyma Laser ($2,695) for the occasion.

And while we can’t all score an appointment with the sought-after beauty pro, Czech raved in a press release that the tech “can bring salon skin treatments into your home” — no professional glam squad needed.

“The Lyma Laser is the most effective skincare tool that I know of that’s suitable for at-home use,” she added. “I have never seen anything so powerful, or able to deliver such amazing results.”

For this year’s gala, she used the device — billed as 100 times “more powerful than an LED face mask” — on stars like Cyntha Erivo, Phoebe Dynevor, Lily Aldridge and Eva Chen.

It’s not the first time she’s turned to the Lyma Laser for red carpet prep, either, as she also put its powers to use on Jennifer Aniston, Minnie Driver, and Camila Morrone before the 2024 Golden Globes.

After all, when it comes to getting glammed up, the skin expert knows it’s all about that base.

“The Lyma Laser offers even skin tone, hydrated skin and a sculpted face,” she said, dubbing it “the perfect tool for the perfect base” before makeup application.

When working with clients, she starts with about six sprays of the Lyma Oxygen Mist, followed by two pumps of the Oxygen Glide — both of which are included in the brand’s starter set — and “either a balm or some oil for an easier glide” before starting with the laser.

“I use very slow movements for about 10 minutes on one side of my face, 10 minutes on the other, and another 10 minutes on my neck,” she explained.

The superstar facialist’s clients aren’t the only ones using the beauty buy; Sofia Richie included it in a recent TikTok — where she went so far as to say she “cannot function without” it — and Kate Hudson once shouted it out on Instagram.
