Joe Biden‘s interview with NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt is still on, but will be taking place at the White House, according to a network source.
The interview was to take place in Texas, but Biden’s trip there was canceled in wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the president’s rival in the 2024 presidential race.
NBC News announced the interview last week, with plans to air it in primetime on Monday night, which is also the first day of the Republican National Convention.
The interview was to be the latest one-on-one for Biden amid calls for him to drop out of the presidential race. He has done recent sit downs with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos and a call in to Morning Joe.
