Joe Rogan has said he “really” hopes he can make a podcast interview with Democrat Presidential candidate Kamala Harris happen, but he wants to set the terms of engagement.

In a message on social media, Rogan wrote that Harris had “not passed on doing the podcast,” but that the travel and format arrangements her team had offered made it unfeasible. Rogan wants Harris to travel to his studio in Austin, Texas, for the recording and for it to run over two to three hours — the usual length of his recordings.

Rogan’s audience skews young male, which could have provided Harris with a platform to reach a group that will have a big say on who next takes the keys for the White House. The Joe Rogan Experience has 14.5 million Spotify followers and nearly 18 million YouTube subscribers.

The election takes place on November 5 after one of the closest and most bitterly fought campaigns in U.S. history. Earlier this week, Trump called Democrats “the enemy from within” in a tirade at his Madison Square Garden rally.
