Joel Kim Booster is apologizing for his comments against The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador.

The Fire Island star reportedly hosts a dating show set to stream on Peacock. The show will feature stars of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives franchise. Following the wrap party, Booster took to social media and called out Beador for allegedly mistreating production throughout filming, something he is now “deeply sorry” about.

“I’ve had a lot of time to think and process about this and I wish I could say that I was not the guy who posted those statements on Instagram, but the fact is that I am,” Booster shared on his Instagram Stories. “I let an onset conflict cloud my judgement and accessed the darkest, ugliest part of myself and said things I don’t stand by or even believe and I am deeply sorry that allowed my worst self to cloud my judgement.”

In a second Instagram Stories post, Booster added, “I know Shannon has had an extraordinarily hard year as she has bravely shared and as someone who has struggles of their own that have spilled over into work, I should have had more grace for her in that moment.”

“I am deeply sorry for the ways in which I’ve made Shannon’s road toward stability more difficult, and hope that she makes it out the other side of this stronger, healthier and with the love that she deserves in her life,” Booster continued. “I regret making this a part of the story of our show, as I’m deeply proud of the work myself, the ladies and the crew put into making it.”

Beador was asked about the comments during a fan Q&A as part of her comedy tour alongside The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson.

The reality TV personality said she was at the airport when she found out about Booster’s comments, adding, “I really don’t know what it’s about.” Beador said that “before the wrap party,” Booster “had tears in his eyes, and he said, ‘I’m so happy for you.'”

“He trashed my daughters,” Beador added. “He said that I hope that I suffer. He said he feels sorry for John Jansen. He says that I’m nothing but a pathetic drunk and it’s really going to look silly for him because he had nothing but love for me the entire show.”

Beador continued, “What I’m sad about is that I did some kind things on the show and people said it was kind. It’s hard for me to walk away from an experience that I really enjoy. But we’ll see what happens. I don’t know where it came from, I really don’t.”

Booster said in the first of a series of now-deleted Instagram Stories that the Bravo fan account Bravo Historian shared on X, “Just because you’re a pathetic drunk on a reality television show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not make you a star and does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period. They will make me delete this but DM me if you’d like to see some videos. Besos!”

Beador was involved in a hit-and-run incident while driving under the influence in September 2023. The RHOC star was subsequently sentenced to three years probation. RHOC Season 18, currently airing on Bravo, shows Beador dealing with the consequences of her actions. Beador’s storyline also involves the fallout of her relationship with John Janssen, who is now dating her co-star Alexis Bellino.
