John Cena enjoyed his longest WWE run in over six years, delighting fans who were pleased to see him on WWE television every week. While this run essentially concluded after Crown Jewel last year, it’s noted that Cena isn’t finished with wrestling just yet. In fact, he has now teased making an appearance at WrestleMania 40.
John Cena faced Solo Sikoa at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia, where he was systematically dismantled and brutally attacked by the young Samoan. After his loss in the match, Cena teased retirement immediately afterwards.
As previously reported, discussions have been ongoing about having John Cena at WrestleMania. However, his availability hinges on his acting schedule. If he can make it, any involvement would be limited to activities deemed safe for insurance reasons. The idea is to have Cena participate in something “fun, short, memorable, and with substance” should he appear.
While appearing on First Take, Ryan Clark asked John Cena if he prefers jorts or a suit. Cena responded with a big tease for WrestleMania 40.
“It depends if we’re talking WrestleMania 40, crossing my fingers. I hope the shorts are there. If we’re talking First Take, I will do my best to put on a waistcoat.”
John Cena might make an appearance to pump up the WWE Universe similar to what he did during his return at Money in the Bank 2023. We will have to wait and see what The Leader of Cenation will do in the end.
