16-time World Champion John Cena has been on a promotional tour for the past few weeks with his new movie, Ricky Stanicky, released on Prime Video this morning. However, with WrestleMania on the horizon, wrestling fans have been more interested in the legend’s possible appearance at the Grandest Stage of them All.

As per rumors surfaced earlier, WWE has been trying to get John Cena on board for an appearance at WrestleMania 40. Though a match is what the fans would love to see from Cena, the company is happy with short and memorable segment involving the franchise player as well

However, in a recent interview, John Cena addressed the possibility of making an appearance at WrestleMania 40, giving hope to the wrestling fans. On recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Cena sat with another wrestling fan, Stephen A Smith, and addressed the possibility of the latter making a WWE appearance anytime in the near future.

Cena revealed why Smith was the perfect example of what WWE was actually about and wanted the ESPN host to make a cameo appearance in the company one day.

“I think he would be tempted to do more than manage. He is what we do in the WWE. He’s entertaining, his personality is undeniable, he has a gravity to him. You feel a certain way about him, whether you’re a supporter or an opposition. He is what we try to achieve in the WWE. I think that’s why we such mutual respect for each other. I saw him at WrestleMania last year, he’s always so kind to us and everybody in our locker room and I think that’s because we’re kind of all in the same gang.”

Stephen A. Smith making an appearance in WWE would be a massive moment for both the company and the ESPN host. A cameo appearance in the company could end up being written down in the history books with WWE fans celebrating it for years.
