John Cena has picked up some new hobbies over the years.
The 16-time World Champion recently announced that his time is soon up. Next year will mark his final year in wrestling, with WrestleMania 41 being his final outing at the biggest show of the year.
When his wrestling career is over, John Cena will need something else to occupy his time. Luckily, he’s picked up some interesting hobbies.
John Cena recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal. He was asked if he had any hobbies that fans wouldn’t know about.
He revealed that he took up reading at the age of 40, as well as trying (and struggling) to learn the piano. John Cena also noted that his eyesight is getting worse, so maybe he picked the wrong time to get into books.
“I read a lot. Mostly nonfiction stuff. I never used to read as a young man. Hell, I started reading at 40. My eyes are going bad, so I picked the wrong time to do that. I’m trying to learn to play piano. I hack away at the keys and I still suck. But it’s my fun time. I enjoy cars for the same reason I enjoy the gym—it’s sense of community. Everyone is there with the same purpose. “
John Cena Likes Days Where He Does Absolutely Nothing
John Cena continued the interview. The Wall Street Journal continued to press him about what he does in his free time. They asked the WWE legend what he likes to do to unwind.
Surprisingly, Cena likes to do absolutely nothing. For somebody who seems unfathomably busy and never tops, Cena claims he likes having “fuck around days”, where he does nothing productive whatsoever all day.
“I call them ‘f—k around days'” John Cena said. “The days where I absolutely don’t allow myself to do anything productive. The productivity is doing nothing. It could be just looking around and listening to the bees through the trees for eight hours.”
