EXCLUSIVE: Peacock‘s Poker Face has added John Mulaney (John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in LA), Ego Nwodim (Saturday Night Live) and Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso) to its growing guest star cast for Season 2. Details regarding who they will play are under wraps.
They join previously announced guest stars Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, Gaby Hoffmann, Kumail Nanjiani, Sherry Cola, Kevin Corrigan, Ben Marshall, Kathrine Narducci, Cynthia Erivo, BJ Novak and Margo Martindale.
From creator, writer, director and EP Rian Johnson, Poker Face is a mystery-of-the-week series following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.
The series has been nominated for four Emmy Awards winning one for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Judith Light, who appeared in the fifth episode of the show’s freshman season opposite S. Epatha Merkerson as a Thelma and Louise-like duo in a nursing home.
Showrunner Tony Tost serves as executive producer for Season 2 alongside Rian Johnson, Natasha Lyonne, Ram Bergman, Nena Rodrigue, Adam Arkin, Nora Zuckerman and Lilla Zuckerman. Poker Face is T-Street’s Johnson and Bergman’s first television series and is produced by MRC, along with Natasha Lyonne, under her production banner Animal Pictures. Lyonne will again direct in Season 2.
