“I’m in my ninth week of pregnancy with our third baby. A total surprise, but again, Johnny’s beaming and so excited.”
Meredith admitted she “was so nervous” to tell her husband because the pregnancy was seemingly unplanned.
“But his reaction was just immediately kissing me and hugging me, even though I was driving the car,” she shared, adding that “after the initial excitement sank in,” he would look at her and say, “‘You’re nuts, you know that?’
“Noa, our oldest, is not even 2 yet,” she told those in attendance.
“In less than three years of marriage, we have created a family of five. It doesn’t even sound possible, but I look at it as the ultimate blessing. How lucky am I to be the mother of John’s three babies, our last one being a blessing and so special despite these difficult circumstances.”
Johnny was an All-Star for the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets, while Matthew played collegiate hockey alongside him at Boston College.
Both were killed on the eve of their sister’s wedding, which was canceled upon the tragic news.
