Jon Moxley says everything that has happened in AEW doesn’t matter, as a “hard set” has begun.

Moxley returned to AEW in August after a brief absence. Since then, he has formed a new faction, and he has captured the AEW World Championship again. He has also led a forceful shift on-screen as his group has taken over.

Speaking with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Jon Moxley called his return “Day Zero” and stated that it started a “hard reset and complete restart” of AEW.

“Everything that has happened up until this point doesn’t matter,” Moxley said. “This is Day Zero. We begin from here, and it might not look much different right now, but it will, and things are accomplished by small incremental steps, doing little things consistently. And that is how big changes are made over periods of time.”

Jon Moxley also highlighted how he has a vision for the company’s creative picture as a whole, one that he says nobody other than Tony Khan can see.

“My goals going forward are probably the most ambitious things I’ve ever attempted,” Moxley said. “And you know, logically on paper, one would say they would probably be impossible, but we’re going to do it. We’re going to accomplish those things.”

Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy at AEW Full Gear.
