Lille could lose its star this summer, courted by the elite of European football.

Author of an excellent start to the season with Lille (13 goals, 2 assists in 18 games), Jonathan David finds himself at the center of much desire. While his contract with the Mastiffs comes to an end next June, the Canadian striker, who “has an offer” according to LOSC president Olivier Létang, has not yet decided on the rest of his career.

This situation is naturally attracting the attention of many clubs keen to sign the 24-year-old without a transfer fee. According to the Corriere dello Sport, one of the main candidates to be interested in David is Juventus Turin.

The Premier League wants to get David

The Serie A resident would like to make the Canucks star a strong alternative to Dusan Vlahovic in attack. According to the transalpine sports daily, the Turin leaders were particularly impressed by the latest performance of David, scorer during the clash between Lille and Juventus (1-1) in the Champions League, last Tuesday.

The Old Lady will, however, have to deal with strong competition, since several top names in the Premier League, including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, are also closely following the Brooklyn native. It remains to be seen, in the event of departure from the northern club, which destination Jonathan David will choose.
