Jordynne Grace has solidified her position as one of the most beloved female pro wrestlers globally. Speculations hinted at her debut in the Royal Rumble and that’s what happened last week. Now, Grace shared more insights into her Rumble appearance.

The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event kicked off with the much-anticipated Women’s Royal Rumble match, and it lived up to the excitement. As anticipated, Jordynne Grace made her WWE debut as the 5th entrant.

Jordynne Grace reignited her recent TNA rivalry with Naomi during the Women’s Royal Rumble match, showcasing a strong performance. However, she was ultimately by Bianca Belair. Despite her appearance, she remains under contract with TNA, making it evident that it was likely a one-off kind of deal.

In a video shared by TNA’s Twitter account, Jordynne Grace revealed how her surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble came about. Scott D’Amore called her after the TNA tapings in Orlando, suggesting she wrestle over the weekend.

When he mentioned being in the Rumble, Grace was initially surprised, and Scott explained he wanted her to jump the barricade. Grace admitted that she found this more realistic than WWE directly contacting TNA for her participation.

Scott called me, I’d actually just landed from our tapings that we did in Orlando. And I was waking up and he called and he was like ‘Oh, how do you feel about wrestling this weekend?’ And I was just there thinking to myself ‘Oh my God, what does he want me to do?’

And he was like ‘How do you feel about being in the Rumble?’ And I was like ‘What? What are you talking about?’ And he just said ‘Yeah, how do you feel about being in the Rumble?’ Did they ask? And he would go ‘No, they didn’t ask. I just want you to be there and jump the barricade.’ And honestly, that was more realistic to me than WWE calling TNA and being like ‘Can your Women’s Champion be in our Royal Rumble?'”

The backstage reaction to Jordynne Grace’s Royal Rumble debut was also revealed. WWE and TNA’s relationship after the Royal Rumble also made it clear it may not progress into long-term deal. We’ll have to see if Grace will ever appear on WWE television again.
