Jorge Mendes, the almost omnipotent agent in today’s football, is starting to seriously get on Real Madrid’s nerves. According to Asthe Madrid board would no longer want to work with the Portuguese agent who would annoy Florentino Perez. Recently, two cases have increased tensions between the man and Real: the transfer of Leny Yoro and the extension of Andriy Lunin. The failure of the Leny Yoro case is very badly received internally at the Merengue and one man is pointed out to explain this fiasco, his agent Jorge Mendes. Florentino Perez wanted to make the Lille defender, “a new Varane” but his dream goes up in smoke with the latter’s departure to Manchester United.

Another burning issue internally is the extension of Andriy Lunin (under contract until 2025), also represented by the Portuguese, who has been out of favor with the Casa Blanca since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Ukrainian is accused of changing his direction and pushing for a departure since he has been represented by Mendes. If the 25-year-old goalkeeper were to leave Real Madrid, Jorge Mendes would no longer have any of his protégés at Real Madrid next season.
