Famously referred to as “The Special One,” Mourinho will assume his eleventh managerial position with the responsibility of bringing an end to Fenerbahce’s ten-year Super Liga championship drought.

Mourinho has not had a job since Serie A team Roma sacked him in January.

Following his successes in Portugal, England, Spain, and Italy, Mourinho intends to extend his tally of victories to include Turkey.

The former Chelsea manager was reportedly approached about a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, but he declined the offer in favour of continuing to manage in Europe.

Jose Mourinho is set to get his first job since getting sacked by Roma.

After five months away from the game, “The Special One” appears to have found employment.

He had previously indicated interest in going back into management.

In conversation with journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho expressed his desire to head back into football management and it looks like he has got his wish now.

He told Romano:

“I am ready to start, sometimes when you end it a club you feel the need of a rest or a think. In this case, one day after I left I was ready to go.

“I am really ready but I don’t want to make the wrong choice, but I cannot make the wrong choice, I cannot accept something just because of the feeling and passion to be back. I have to be patient. Is something going to happen in March or April? It is very difficult, my objective is to start next summer.”

Jose Mourinho has made the right call

The Portuguese manager has taken the right decision to continue his journey in Europe rather than taking a job in the Saudi Pro League.

He still has lot to offer in European football having achieved success in all the countries he has worked in.

The passionate Fenerbahce supporters are going to love his presence in Turkey.
