Josh Alexander is ready to put in the work after TNA Wrestling picked up his option year earlier this week.
TNA Wrestling‘s Josh Alexander recently sat down with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. When asked how he felt about TNA picking up his option, Alexander said he was excited to put in the work.
“TNA, those are the letters that inspired me to get in the ring and chase this wild dream,” Josh Alexander said. “TNA picking up the option means I have a lot of work to do, and I’m excited to put in the work and make it happen.”
Despite Alexander’s comments, it was reported this week that Alexander had requested the company not to pick up his option year. Alexander wished to “survey the landscape” and was open to negotiating a new deal with the company, but they picked up his option instead.
Josh Alexander hopes TNA continues to be an amazing place under new management
Later in the interview, when asked about his impending free agency in 2025, Alexander said as of right now, he can’t imagine working anywhere else.
“Every time I go to the ring, whether it’s in front of 500 or 5,000 or 50,000 people, I’m going to give my absolute best,” Josh Alexander said. “I’m working to be the best match every time I step in the ring.
“I’ve worked so hard to be in this position. At the end of this contract, I’ll have been with TNA for six years. We’ll see how this year goes. With new management coming in, things are going to be changing. I just hope it continues to be an amazing place. Right now, I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else.”
