Recently, Mustafa Ali made his return to professional wrestling. The former WWE Superstar made his TNA Wrestling debut at this year’s No Surrender pay-per-view. He not only made his debut but also defeated Chris Sabin to become the new TNA X-Division Champion. Former TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Josh Alexander shared his thoughts on Mustafa Ali.

During a recent interview on the Battleground Podcast, the Walking Weapon Josh Alexander shared that he would love to wrestle Mustafa Ali. He also claimed that Ali’s match against Chris Sabin was one of the best matches he had seen.

“I mean, I would jump at the opportunity to step in the ring with Mustafa Ali. For sure. Because he’s coming from WWE. He’s had all the success in the world there. I think that, much like I said, this is the land of opportunity. He might have gotten the opportunities to show what he’s capable of there. And you see him making the best of it with these promos. And these videos. That he’s putting out that he can have a different side and presentation that he might not have elsewhere gotten. And… You know… For him to go out there with Chris Sabin at No Surrender, one of the best exhibition matches I’ve ever seen man. Blew me away.”

Alexander also shared his thoughts on Chris Sabin. He claimed that Sabin is one of the best in the business and is highly underrated.

“Chris Sabin, criminally underrated. 20 years of a resume of having amazing matches night in night out. No matter who it’s with. Just for whatever reason he’s just not in the conversation for being one of the best in the world. Maybe because he’s so quiet about it. But he’s quietly amazing.”

Josh Alexander appreciates Mustafa Ali for finally capturing a major title after two decades

The Walking Weapon also praised the skill set of Mustafa Ali and is happy to see him hold a championship after 20 years.

“And Mustafa Ali stepping up… After he won that match, I don’t know if the promo is on the pay-per-view or for the house. But he said this was his first major in nearly 20 years in wrestling. And I think that sums up that this is the land of opportunity man. For him to not have a major title in the wrestling business in two decades is mindblowing for how talented he is.

“And he shows up here. He shows up, shows out and now he has the X-Division Title on his shoulder to show the world that he is capable of holding one of the most prestigious belts in the world. And I think he’s got a chip on his shoulder too. Much like everybody else in this locker room to go out there and show the world and that’s the kind of thing you need to have to be a part of this locker room,” Josh Alexander said.
