Manchester United was one of many suitors interested in Michael Olise before he moved to Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich this summer.

The former Crystal Palace man was impressive during his time in England and had many clubs chasing his signature.

The French star had become a vital player for Crystal Palace but the London club were helpless with a £60 million release clause in his contract.

Olise understood to be a Manchester United fan sealed his move to Germany with the intention of Bayern Munich being the perfect destination to develop his football.

The Red Devils opted not to sign another winger this summer despite the sale of Jadon Sancho who secured a loan-to-obligation deal with Chelsea on Deadline Day.

Antony had been linked with an exit to Turkey but it remains likely that he will continue in Manchester and fight for a place in Ten Hag’s starting XI.

“But United were too late. Olise was set on Bayern.”

Mokbel added: “Although United would be at the front of the queue if the France international decides to leave in the future.”
