The play, directed by Randal Myler (Love, Janis) at the newly renovated MMAC Theater on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, will feature a rotating line-up of performers, with the cast of four changing each month. The Behar-led cast will be first up, running from January 29 to February 23 with an official opening night on Thursday, February 6.

Future casts will be announced at a later date. Behar said in a statement that the rotating casts of women “will keep telling these stories with laughter, grace, compassion and hilarious honesty.”

The official synopsis: “If half of all marriages end in divorce, then in My First Ex-Husband, women live to laugh about it….In the world of the play, you’ll meet women married to the mob, to their jobs, to their faith, to money and ultimately to the wrong man. Their stories are your stories…only funnier.”

The show is produced by Rose Caiola (Caiola Productions) and Cyrena Esposito (Red Letter Entertainment) with Associate Producers Mark Rubinsky and Tony Castrigno.

Behar, the longtime co-host of ABC’s The View, has appeared on stage in Nicky Silver’s play The Food Chain, and Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues.
