Jude Bellingham scored a classy and crucial goal for Real Madrid in their LaLiga clash against Girona to set a new league record.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a sensational start to life at Los Blancos, but experienced a rough patch in front of goal prior to Saturday's match.

Bellingham scored just once in his past eight matches, however his latest goal defined his true world class quality.

Vinicius Jr, who scored an excellent curling opener for Madrid, was on hand to provide the assist with a delightful pass with the outside of his boot.

His ball found Bellingham, who took it around Paulo Gazzaniga and slotted into an empty net to make him the first Madrid midfielder in the 21st century to score 15 goals in a single LaLiga season.

Jude's goal came just a couple hours after his younger brother Jobe scored his latest strike for Sunderland.

Bellingham has also overtaken opposition star Artem Dovbyk in the scoring ranks, with his goal arguably one of the best in his Madrid catalogue.

Whilst he enjoyed another fine performance, his was substituted off just before the hour mark with an apparent injury having gone down twice in the game.

Despite this, his season so far justifies why many claim him to be one of the best players in world football, especially given how young he is.

Bellingham may have scored 19 goals in all competitions, but his eight assists also prove that he can turn provider when needed.
