Julie Bowen's 'Hysteria!' Canceled After Just One Season on Peacock

Pop-horror series Hysteria! will not be getting a second season.

The Peacock show, which starred Julie Bowen, Anna Camp and Bruce Campbell, among others, has been canceled after only one season, Variety reports.

This marks the second series that has been canceled by the streaming service in 2025!

Here’s a synopsis: When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.

Hysteria! premiered all eight episodes in October, and received very good ratings from both audiences and critics.

The horror earned a 91% Tomatometer and a 87% Popcornmeter rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
