Jurgen Klopp surprised everyone when he decided to take up the role of a Football Chief across the Red Bull footballing network.

The former Liverpool and Dortmund coach will be in charge of dictating transfer policies to scouting new players for all the Red Bull-owned clubs across the world.

To that end, the German appears to have already kickstarted on his new role and his first few targets belong to La Masia.

Klopp eyeing two La Masia stars

According to journalist Sebastien Vidal, Klopp is eyeing a move two La Masia stars, in particular, in his bid to reinforce the two top Red Bull teams in Europe.

The two players in question are Aleix Garrido and Noah Darvich, both of who are regarded as two of the finest young talents coming out of La Masia over the past 12 months.

Although the academy has no shortage of other young talents, Darvich and Garrido are two players who have shown immense potential of late.

Klopp is well aware of their performances and wants to snap them up, as part of his efforts to reinforce the ranks in the Red Bull Group.

Vidal claims that the two players have been identified as targets primarily for two clubs in the form of RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg.

It is not decided which club will look to end up signing or at least targeting these players. But the RB Group signing former Barcelona academy players is not a thing of the past, as the club previously signed the likes of Dani Olmo and Ilaix Moriba.

Barcelona, though, won’t make things easy for Red Bull Group to sign either of these stars, knowing they are both capable of making a breakthrough in the first-team.

However, the Catalans must move swiftly knowing Garrido’s contract expires at the end of the season, whereas Darvich hasn’t had the desired impact in pre-season earlier this summer.
