Jurgen Klopp reveals Mohamed Salah plans to return to Liverpool for injury rehab

Jurgen Klopp has revealed that star player Mohamed Salah is on his way back to Liverpool.

The Egyptian was injured in his country’s last match at the Africa Cup of Nations, and will rehabilitate back on Merseyside.

However, the Reds boss also said that Salah could well return to AFCON, should Egypt reach the final and he be fully recovered.

Speaking to the media after a 4-0 win over Bournemouth, Klopp said: "If he is fit before the final then probably yes [he will go back]." 

Klopp was asked for an update on Salah’s suspected hamstring injury and added: “No not really, we have to ask our doctor, that would help but I didn’t.”
