The All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State, has blasted the Tony Okocha, an ally of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who was sacked by court from parading himself as the party’s caretaker committee chairmen in the state.
Darlington Nwauju, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Rivers State called on Okocha to stop misleading the public through protests.
Nwauju criticized Okocha for leading a solidarity protest in Port Harcourt in support of President Bola Tinubu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
In a Facebook post, Nwauju described Okocha’s actions as deceptive and a public nuisance, arguing that Okocha lacks the moral authority to lead such demonstrations. He emphasized the importance of respecting the court’s decision that led to Okocha’s removal and accused Okocha of using his support for Tinubu to manipulate public opinion for personal political gain.
Nwauju also pointed out that Okocha had previously filed a lawsuit in the same court he now criticizes, attempting to prevent the APC from fielding candidates in the 2019 elections.
