The Federal Ministry of Works announced on Monday that both bounds of the carriageways of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State will undergo a temporary closure from noon on Wednesday to noon on Thursday.
According to Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, the closure is part of the ongoing rehabilitation works on the bridge.
“We advise all road users to use alternative routes during this period. Please note that all inconveniences are highly regretted,” Kesha stated in the announcement.
She further emphasized that the bridge would not be accessible to traffic during this critical 24-hour period.
“Motorists are advised to cooperate with the traffic management officials deployed to ensure hitch-free movements during the period,” Kesha added.
In response to the planned closure, the Lagos State Government has also issued a notification to inform the public.
