JUST IN: Shettima presides over NEC meeting

Vice President Kashim Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently presiding over the 145th meeting of the National Economic Council at the State House, Abuja.

To begin the meeting, Shettima asked the newest member of the council, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, to say the opening prayer after the national anthem.

State governors, some deputy governors, and members of President Bola Tinubu’s economic team are expected to discuss key economic issues surrounding the 2025 fiscal year, among others.
