Two more Governors have declared tomorrow being Friday as public holiday for workers to continue wit the festivities.
Sokoto State Government announced Friday, April 12, 2024, as a day off for workers. In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, the declaration was made to allow civil servants to extend their celebrations of Eid-el-Fitr with their families.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu conveyed his wishes for a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration to the people of Sokoto State.
Similarly, Katsina State Government also declared April 12, 2024, as a non-working day for its workforce in celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
Governor Dikko Radda issued the directive, emphasizing the importance of allowing workers to fully engage in the festivities with their families.
This decision aligns with the Federal Government’s extension of Eid-el-Fitr public holidays to Thursday, April 11. However, the federal government did not extend the public holiday to Friday.
