Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer, with the club keen on strengthening their defensive options ahead of next season.
The Brazilian has been with Juventus since 2022 following his transfer from Torino.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, as cited by the Manchester Evening News, United’s reported interesting Juventus defender Bremer has forced the Serie A club to look for options to replace him. It is the biggest hint yet that his head has been turned by United’s reported interest.
It is no secret that United’s defensive department will look very different next season. There are several players with uncertain futures and it remains to be seen how much money will be spent in the transfer window to strengthen each department.
Bremer’s head turned
If it’s true that Juventus are seeking replacements for Bremer, they must have a feeling that he is ready to jump ship. Otherwise, we would be hearing claims of a hardline stance, which of course could still come unless an agreement is reached between the two clubs.
Juventus are currently third but have no chance of winning the Serie A title. They will be looking to set the record straight next season as Italy’s biggest club, with or without Bremer.
It remains to be seen if United are ready to make him one of their primary targets this summer. We just haven’t been able to ignore the links!
