The Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, Audu Dabigi, has decorated 13 newly promoted senior police officers serving in the command.

This followed the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and approval by the Police Service Commission, according to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, ASP, in Kaduna on Thursday.

The ceremony was held at the Command’s Headquarters along Bida Road in the metropolis.

Among those promoted is the Area Commander of Kafanchan, Assistant Commissioner of Police Danladi Ibrahim, who has been elevated to Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Ibrahim served in the Area Command for nearly four years, maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Two officers were also promoted from Chief Superintendent of Police to Assistant Commissioner of Police, including CSP Aminu Lawan, who has served as Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) at the command twice.

In addition, ten Superintendents of Police (SP) were promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

Dabigi congratulated the newly promoted officers, urging them to continue performing their duties with professionalism, diligence, and a deep sense of responsibility.

He emphasised the importance of integrity, serving with the fear of God, and adhering to the rule of law.

“I commend the newly promoted officers for their dedication to service. I urge you to continue performing your duties with professionalism, diligence, and a deep sense of responsibility. Let us carry out our roles with integrity, serving with the fear of God and in strict adherence to the rule of law,” said the CP.

The commissioner noted that the promotion ceremony was a testament to the Command’s commitment to recognising and rewarding excellence within its ranks.
