Kalvin Phillips has been linked with a January move away from Manchester City this transfer window, with Crystal Palace currently joint favourites.
The England midfielder's future was discussed by Ally McCoist in talkSPORT BET's January Transfer Show, a full round up of the possible movements this month along with a few managerial transfer related anecdotes from Alan Pardew, all available to watch here.

Kalvin Phillips signed for Manchester City in the summer of 2022 from boyhood club Leeds for around £42million, but has made just six starts in his 18 months with the trophy laden club so far, making just 31 appearances.
The 28-year-old has found game-time increasingly hard to come by since his move, due to being firmly behind Rodri in the pecking order, which he's fallen even further down following the signings of Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes last summer.
It's thought that Phillips will likely make the England squad for the Euros this summer due to manager Gareth Southgate's trust and loyalty towards him, but both player and manager would likely rather the midfielder got some proper playing time ahead of a huge tournament for England.
As talkSPORT's Chief Football Correspondent Alex Crook states in the transfer show, "City's demands in terms of a big loan fee and an obligation to buy for a similar price to what they paid Leeds is proving prohibitive for a lot of clubs."
Crystal Palace are currently joint favourites at 2/1 to sign the midfielder, with Roy Hodgson's side in need of a holding player following the long term injury suffered by Cheick Doucoure.
The Eagles are currently lodged in 14th in the Premier League table at the time of writing, five points clear of the bottom three and eight points shy of the top half, and Phillips would likely slot straight in to their starting eleven should he sign.
Locked in as the other joint favourites however, is a potential move to La Liga, where Spanish giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have been rumoured to be interested in the Englishman.
Both sides have the lure of Champions League football to offer Phillips, but it's thought unlikely he'd slot straight into their team which would bring the concern for the number of minutes he'd play in the second half of this season prior to the Euros.
A move to Spain would of course be the more glamorous option but it remains to be seen whether the 28-year-old would prefer the guaranteed playing minutes that a mid-table Premier League side would be able to offer ahead of such a huge summer for him.

West Ham are also believed to have chucked their hat in the ring with regards to Phillips' availability, in a bid to strengthen the depth of their injury hit squad ahead of the second half of this season, witha move to the Europa League club priced at 3/1 with talkSPORT BET.
David Moyes' squad currently only have three defensively minded midfielders in the first team squad, and with Edson Alvarez out injured it leaves James Ward-Prowse and Tomas Soucek the only senior players fit for selection in that position.
The Hammers have a good record of signing central midfielders since they're sale of Declan Rice in the summer, with Alvarez and Ward-Prowse proving very shrewd and impressive signings for the London club.
Also priced at 3/1 to one is a potential move to Serie A, where Juventus are believed to be interested in the midfielder, who can also offer Champions League football but the issue of time out on the pitch will also remain.
England boss Gareth Southgate will no doubt be having discussions with the midfielder offering his thoughts on what might prove best and most effective for lengthening Phillips' international career.
Newcastle (6/1) have also been heavily linked with a move for the England midfielder, but with their finances cutting the Financial Fair Play boundary quite close, it's believed that this window would not be the best time to offer him a deal.
The move would make sense for both parties with Phillips sure to get more minutes in a smaller squad with high aspirations of competing consistently in the Champions League in the near future, but now may not be the right time.
Ally McCoist voiced his opinion on the link of Phillips to the Magpies: "There's still a player there, but he's got to get playing. I don't think I've ever seen a manager [Pep Guardiola] show someone as much that they're not going to be part of their plans.
"I feel for the lad. I just think he's got to go and get playing again. I think Newcastle would be a terrific move for him. I understand City are trying get their money back for him, but the argument would be that I can't remember what he looked like, never mind what he played like!
"From Phillips' point of view, I just think he's got to get playing."
Tottenham are also an outside bet to sign the midfielder this month at 8/1, with a potential move to Ligue 1 priced the same.
