Kamala Harris will be doing a series of national interviews this week, greatly upping her exposure as the presidential race enters its final weeks.
Harris will sit down with ABC’s The View on Tuesday, as well as SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, the campaign announced this morning. CBS already announced that Harris would guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night, and would be on a special edition of 60 Minutes on Monday.
Harris will participate in a Univision town hall on Thursday as shee campaigns in Nevada later this week. Donald Trump also is participating in a separate forum. Harris also taped the Call Her Daddy podcast which will debut this week.
Her running mate, Tim Walz, is appearing on Fox News Sunday today and Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, and he will be interviewed on 60 Minutes.
The schedule is a contrast to the early weeks of the campaign, in which Harris and Walz avoided national media interviews. In late August, they sat down for a joint interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, and they have made a smattering of appearances since then, with Harris concentrating to an extent on local media.
Trump has made frequent appearances on Fox News and he has held press conferences, among other appearances. But he backed out of a 60 Minutes interview after his campaign initially agreed to it, according to CBS News. His campaign said that the booking was never finalized.
