Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actor and BJP’s MP-elect from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, alleged on Thursday that a CISF security official slapped her at Chandigarh Airport while she was traveling to Delhi. Ranaut stated that as she was proceeding to the boarding point after the security check, CISF official Kulwinder Kaur, who was posted at the curtain area, allegedly argued with her and then slapped her.

After arriving in Delhi, Kangana met with CISF Director General Nina Singh and other senior officials to explain the incident. The constable, Kulwinder Kaur, has been detained and taken to the CISF Commandant Office for questioning.

Kangana Ranaut defeated her Congress rival Vikramaditya Singh, the scion of the Rampur state and the incumbent state public works minister, by a margin of 74,755 votes from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency. She has become the fourth woman ever to be elected to Lok Sabha from Himachal Pradesh and the first woman who is not from an erstwhile royal family.
