The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the appointment of Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim as acting Managing Director, Abubakar Rimi Television.

The appointment followed the suspension of the managing director, Mustapha Indabawa.

The letter of appointment dated 27th May 2024 was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi Government.

The letter directed Ibrahim to take over the affairs of the station immediately.

Before her present appointment, Ibrahim was the deputy managing director of the Television station.

The Kano State Government had filed seven charges of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation, and diversion of funds among others against the suspended MD and Staff Officer, Ibrahim M. Bello.

Recall that the state anti-corruption commission investigated the matter following a petition written to the state governor against the embattled MD.
