Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf
Kano State Government, on Friday, indicated its commitment and willingness to strengthen symbiotic relationship with India toward the socio-economic development of the state.
Sanusi Bature, spokesman for Governor Abba Yusuf, made the disclosure via in a statement which was made available to our correspondent in Kano on Friday.
According to the statement, Governor Yusuf made the remark while receiving the Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Shri G. Balasubramanian, who called on him at Government House, Kano.
The governor disclosed that the historical India and Kano State relationship dates back to many years, especially in the areas of Education, Health, Agriculture, Technology and trade which needs to be strengthened for the mutual benefits of India and Kano State.
He assured of continuous collaboration Indian Government toward the completion of it’s two mega power projects in Tiga and Challawa for the revival of moribund industries and socio-economic development of the state.
Earlier, India’s High Commissioner commended the efforts of the governor in executing viable projects and programmes toward improving the living condition of the teeming population in Kano State.
