Well, here’s how Kanye West managed to air that disgusting Super Bowl ad…

On the heels of his days-long antisemitic rant on X (Twitter), the disgraced rapper purchased an ad slot at Super Bowl LIX to promote his fashion line. In the ad, he’s sitting in a dental chair while telling the camera:

“I spent like all the money for the commercial on these new teeth. So once again I had to shoot it on the iPhone.”

He then directs viewers to go to his website Yeezy.com. What’s the problem? The site being advertised…

The ad aired in four marketplaces: LA, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and St. Luis. But for individuals from those areas who DID check it out, they found only one single item for sale: a t-shirt with a massive swastika on it. Yeah. He was directing everyone watching to more hatespeech.

So how was this ad even able to air?? Well, he apparently duped the team responsible for broadcasting commercials!

In a memo obtained by The Washington Post on Wednesday, Fox TV Stations executive Jack Abernethy informed employees:

“We regret that these commercials aired in these three markets, and we strongly condemn any form of antisemitism.”

According to him, Kanye “switched” the ad at the last minute as it had apparently been checked, in addition to his website, prior to airing just to make sure there were no red flags. It’s alleged that Ye’s team changed the content of his website immediately AFTER the ad aired. That’s insane.

Abernethy continued:

“As you well know, Fox is a strong supporter of such organizations as the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, the United Jewish Appeal Federation, and others through direct support or on-air promotion of their campaigns and we will continue to work with them in combating antisemitism.”

The NFL also responded, issuing the following statement:

“The NFL had no awareness of the ad buy or the spot until after it ran in select local markets. The NFL strongly condemns any form of antisemitism.”

Following the controversy, Shopify disabled the Yeezy online store, but the damage was done. It’s unclear if any of Ye’s fans bought the vile t-shirt. We guess we’ll know if we start to see them pop up. Then again, it looks like we’ll be seeing more and more nazi imagery around the US either way.

Such a horrendous situation.
