We now know more about the future of Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia.

Karim Benzema will indeed end the season at Al Ittihad. While rumors had reported a withdrawal from the Al Jeddah team for a departure to Al Riyadh, the Frenchman is not ready to move.

Status quo for Benzema

It was David Ornstein of The Athletic who shared this information, specifying that nothing will change regarding KB9 by the end of the winter transfer window. Despite the problems encountered with the club in recent weeks, the trend is therefore towards a status quo.

In addition to the possible signing for a Saudi Pro League rival, Benzema was also announced for Lyon. Rumors suggested that John Textor was dreaming of him. However, that was never an option. A comeback at home is therefore highly hypothetical, for both sporting and economic reasons.

Benzema will therefore continue with Al-Ittihad, with the hope that the situation can improve. Particularly with coach Marcelo Gallardo. The current never passed between the two men. And next summer, we will reassess his situation again.
