The departure of Karim Benzema for Saudi Arabia will have sealed his separation from his former agent Karim Djaziri.
Karim Benzema had a complicated start in the Saudi championship, to say the least. Arriving with great fanfare in the Kingdom, the 2022 Ballon d’Or experienced a chaotic first season, marked by complicated relationships with its coaches, the Portuguese Nuno Espirito Santo then the Argentinian Marcelo Gallardo. This exile in Saudi Arabia will also have obviously taken a toll on his friendship with Karim Djaziri, his former agent.
Karim Benzema was in fact expected to star in “Quatre Zeros”, the new film by Fabien Onteniente, a sequel to “Three Zeros”, released in 2001, notably with Ronaldinho on the bill. But his quarrel with Karim Djaziri got the better of this project.
“They got angry”
“I collaborated with Karim Djaziri (former agent of the player) who gave me a lot of tips for the film,” explains Fabien Onteniente. When we started thinking about the script, it was still connected to him. But there was his transfer to Saudi Arabia (to Al-Ittihad, in June 2023), they got angry and he told me: “Forget it, he won’t do it”,” he explained in the columns of
The Teamthe director of “Camping” specifying: “In any case, it interested me less, because it divides Benzema. »
Fabien Onteniente finally set his sights on Paul Pogba, despite being at the heart of a doping affair. “He still has one thing, it’s his presence. You can do all the theater classes in the world, if you don’t have attendance, it’s a buffet stop. he said about the Turin player, Gérard Lanvin, also starring in the film “Quatre Zéros” along the same lines: “Pogba is an actor because he has a big personality and above all a lot of sentimentality. We were dealing with a guy who was happy to be with us, without asking the slightest question whether he was credible or not. He played his part, we were in his eyes and he didn’t leave ours. »
