Karrion Kross has an interesting idea to bring a new title belt to the WWE

The former NXT Champion wants to see the spirt of ECW be brought back, through a brand-new championship in the WWE. The promotion went under in 2001, with the WWE version being cancelled in favor of NXT in 2009.

The show featured numerous hardcore matches, which began the signature style of the promotion. WWE tried to emulate this with the introduction of their own Hardcore Championship, which is something that apparently stuck with Karrion Kross.

Karrion Kross took to Twitter to pitch his own idea for a tournament in the WWE. He had an idea for an extreme rules tournament to take place in the WWE.

It would feature no rules, with victory only decided by pinfall, submission or knockout. Karrion Kross added that the winner would be the new Extreme Wrestling Champion. This is similar, but different to the original ECW title.

“It would be awesome to hold an extreme rules tournament right now in WWE to introduce a new Extreme Wrestling Championship. No rules. No DQ. Pinfall, submission or knockout.” Karrion Kross said.

One fan replied, saying Karrion Kross should cut his promos in his famous Jesse “The Body” Ventura impression for the tournament. However, the former NXT Champion suggested instead that Ventura commentate on the finals of the tournament.

This seems like a great way to get the Predator star back on TV, following his return to the WWE.

“Why not have Jesse commentate for the final bracket instead?”

Karrion Kross also suggested that fans decide who will be in the tournament. This would give the tournament more interaction with the fans, getting them more invested in the matches and the crowning of the first Extreme Wrestling Champion.
