Karrion Kross plan for WrestleMania 40 didn’t quite match up to reality.

The former NXT Champion suffered defeat in an exciting six-man tag team match on Sunday. He teamed with the Authors of Pain to take on the trip of Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits.

This was a Philadelphia Street Fight, and saw an array of weapons, including tables, being used to great effect. ECW legend Bubba Ray Dudley was the special guest referee for the match.

Kross’ side tasted defeat in that match, and WWE caught up with him following the bout. Karrion Kross spoke to the WWE Youtube channel backstage, revealing that the match did not quite go to plan.

“Well, that didn’t exactly go according to plan. But then again, not a very big fan of having a plan. Kind of just like to dive into things recklessly. So maybe it was most appropriate this happened. I also think everybody got what they deserved tonight. I got what I deserved because once upon a time, this guy, Tommy Dreamer, he broke me into Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena, the famous ECW arena.”

Karrion Kross continued;

“You know what I did to thank him? I beat the hell out of all his friends. Franchise Shane Douglas, Little Guido, he got it, too. And then I did Tommy, suplexed him right in his head through a chair. So I guess Bobby was probably pretty mad about that. And he decided to show up tonight. You know what? I got what I deserve. And Bobby, Bobby Lashley, he got what he deserved, too. You know what he got? He took a backseat to Montez Ford on the biggest event of the year and reminded everybody why they left them off last year.”
