Katy Perry opened up about her mentality on negative reviews of her music. The 40-year-old “Firework” pop titan dropped her new album 143 in 2024. It was met with mixed reviews. During a recent interview, Katy revealed if she read bad reviews from the press. She also shared some very helpful advice that she got from her therapist about reviews in general and weighed in on anyone panning 143. You shouldn’t read it when it’s bad,” she said. Katy continued, adding, “My therapist said something that really changed my life. What anybody thinks about you is none of your business. It’s what you think about yourself.” As for critics of 143, Katy is focused on her music making a difference to her fans, saying that she’d like it to be “the soundtrack for anyone’s life.” “I created this album out of a real shift in my life when I became a mother, and I really tapped into that feminine divine energy. The messages on it are celebratory.
