Kelly Bensimon eyeing designer Dennis Basso to create her wedding dress

Dennis Basso is at the “top of the list” to design Kelly Bensimon’s wedding dress.

A source tells us they heard the former model — who became a cast member on “The Real Housewives of New York City” and then a successful real estate broker — was talking about her big day with the uptown clothier during his recent New York Fashion Week presentation.

“She was at the show getting ideas for her wedding dress,” a spy told us, adding that the star and the designer were talking about how to make the gown “sexy and completely unique.”

We hear the two are old friends and even attended the Met Gala together a few years ago. 

Also at the fashion show were Martha Stewart and Amy Fine Collins.

Basso is known for his furs and for dressing celebs like Rihanna, Helen Mirren and Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as Upper East Side ladies like Cornelia Guest. He also dressed Meryl Streep for “The Devil Wears Prada,” and Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones for other movies.

Another source tells us: “Kelly is shopping for her wedding and Dennis is the top of the list.” They added that she’s looking for both a wedding dress, and looks for many of the events surrounding the nuptials.

Bensimon previously told People that she is planning two weddings: One will be a small ceremony in Litner’s backyard for their inner circle, and another will be a larger celebration in the Hamptons. 

Litner popped the question over Fourth of July weekend during a boat ride at Bensimon’s childhood vacation spot of Lake Geneva, Wis.

“Kelly is happily engaged and looking forward to this new beginning,” the Bravolebrity’s rep told us.

Bensimon was previously married to photographer Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2006.

The pair share daughters Sea, 25, and Teddy, 23.

Litner was been married twice before and also has children of his own.
