Kelly Clarkson is opening up about the possibility of her returning to American Idol in a different role! The 42-year-old singer and talk show host got her start on the singing competition over 20 years ago, becoming the show’s first ever winner. While Kelly has returned to perform on the show, she was recently asked if she would ever come back to serve as a judge, after Katy Perry left the show, leaving an open spot on the panel. I was like, ‘I wanna be there as much as I possibly can,’” she shared with ET. “And it would put me in L.A., and that’s why I had to quit The Voice, which I love that team. And I miss them so much.” Kelly, of course, left The Voice and moved her life to New York City, including her talk series The Kelly Clarkson Show.
