Kerry Washington‘s husband Nnamadi Asomugha just made his directorial debut with his movie The Knife at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival!

The couple walked the red carpet separately at the film’s premiere on Sunday (June 9) in New York City.

Not only did Nnamdi direct the movie, he also co-wrote it and stars in it. Also in attendance were his co-screenwriter Mark Duplass and his co-stars Melissa Leo, Amari Price, and Aiden Price.

Jessica Chastain also showed up to support.

Here’s the film’s synopsis: “All Chris (Asomugha) wants is to carve a promising future for his beloved wife Alex (Aja Naomi King) and their two girls; a young family chasing the American Dream. One fateful night, Chris’ entire world is shaken to its core as a stranger mysteriously shows up in their humble abode. Distressed by the events of the night and the revelations seemingly at every turn, the family must also contend with the steadfast Detective Carlsen (Leo) who’s eager to solve the mystery of their intrusion.”

FYI: Kerry is wearing a Sportmax dress with jewelry by Suzanne Kalan and Marie Lichtenberg. Jessica is wearing a Gucci dress.
