Kesha Says Her Prop Knife for Lollapalooza Set Was Replaced With a Real Butcher Knife Without Her Knowledge

A major accident could have happened during Kesha‘s Lollapalooza set, but thankfully it seems everyone is okay.

The 37-year-old singer performed at the music festival during the opening day on Thursday (August 1) at Grant Park in Chicago, Ill.

While performing her song “Backstabber,” Kesha waved a knife around in the air and made stabbing motions. Thankfully she never actually made contact with anyone, because she later learned that it was a real knife.

“sooooo apparently the prop knife went missing and they replaced it with a real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen. and i didn’t know. till now. so watch that again…,” Kesha tweeted after the set.

Kesha also performed her brand new song “Joyride” during the show in Chicago.
