WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has been a part of several iconic moments in professional wrestling’s history. One such moment was when he shockingly ripped off the prosthetic leg of Mad Dog Vachon.
This heinous act took place in the main event of In Your House 7. Kevin Nash was wrestling Shawn Michaels in a No Holds Barred Match for the WWE Championship. In the closing stages of the match, Nash pulled Vachon from the crowd and ripped off his prosthetic leg to attack Michaels. But his plan failed and in the end, the Heartbreak Kid retained his title.
While speaking on the Kliq This podcast, Nash shared the specifics of the segment. The WWE Hall of Famer also claimed that the idea was pitched by Mad Dog Vachon himself.
“Day of [the WWE Championship match against Shawn Michaels at In Your House]. Day of. I think that Vachon pitched the idea. I might be mistaken. All I remember is talking to him and I said, ‘I’m going to pull you over the railing.’ I said, ‘Give me the eggy on which one’s the… Because I sure as hell don’t want to pull off your foot… Pull your other leg off like Ren and Stimpy.’ But no… I just… It was a great spot. You know what? We did so many things in that match. The fire extinguisher. Powerbomb through the table.”

“We did a lot of things that… The beauty of that is, and people remember that, and it was like… We… There was nothing that… Shawn and I, the match was in Omaha, we went to the top of Whatever hotel we were at. And they had an Omaha Steakhouse, and he and I had steaks. And I drank some vino. He drank a couple of beers and we just sat there and put each other ‘Over’,” Kevin Nash said.
