Kevin Owens has taken a darker turn in his storyline after attacking Cody Rhodes in a parking lot post-Bad Blood Premium Live Event. He escalated his actions by also targeting Randy Orton on last week’s SmackDown. Now, Owens has publicly called out Orton, accusing him of betrayal.

During the October 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, Kevin Owens stormed to the ring and grabbed a microphone to share his frustrations. He explained that WWE had fined and suspended him for attacking Cody Rhodes and told him to stay away from the event in Greenville, South Carolina. Even though he was suspended, Owens couldn’t stay away from Rhodes. Things got worse when Randy Orton tried to calm him down, but instead, Owens got angry and attacked Orton as well. Randy Orton would then send a message to Kevin Owens, promising that he would exact revenge on The Prizefighter for his actions.

Owens took to Twitter and in a video, he talked about his time in WWE, saying that after more than ten years, he feels things are worse now than ever. He is upset that WWE officials told him to stay home from SmackDown after he attacked Cody Rhodes at the Bad Blood event. He thinks this is unfair because wrestlers often ambush each other, and he doesn’t understand why he’s being treated differently.

Owens also expressed his disappointment in Randy Orton for betraying him. He can’t believe Orton chose to side with Cody Rhodes instead of him. Owens mentioned that people might say he turns on his friends, but he never would have done that to Orton because he thought their friendship was special. Now, because of how WWE is treating him and Orton’s betrayal, Owens is unsure about when or if he will return to wrestling.

”I’ve been in WWE now for 10 years, actually over 10 years and I’ve had a lot of ups and down and I don’t think things have felt as bad as they do now. Because for WWE officials to tell me to stay home and not come to SmackDown where I belong, because of what I did to Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood is just so unfair and ridiculous. I mean look at what we’ve seen WWE Superstars do to each other in and out of the ring, ambush each other and beat downs, and I get told to stay away? Because I dropped their little golden boy outside their stupid bus. You know, it really makes me ask myself just how appreciated and valued I am with by this company. That I can live with but what I can’t get over though is what Randy Orton did to me. Randy, I can’t believe that you betrayed like that. You know you can let people say what they want, ”Kevin Owens turns on his friends” it doesn’t matter, I wouldn’t have done that to you, ever. Because I thought what we had was different. I just can’t believe you picked Cody Rhodes over me and I gotta be honest with everybody, with everything that’s happening right now between the disrespect shown to me by WWE and Randy breaking my trust like that, I don’t know if and when I can come back.”

Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is planning a “shoot-style” match for Kevin Owens and Randy Orton’s upcoming showdown. This match is expected to happen at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, we’ll have to wait and see how WWE continues to develop the storyline between Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes, and Randy Orton in the coming months, as their current angle is certainly creating a lot of interest.
