Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount is set to be sidelined for a few weeks after picking up an injury in the Brighton fixture last weekend.
It has been a frustrating start to Mason Mount’s Manchester United career with injury plaguing his debut season last campaign.
Mount had an impressive pre-season and would have been hoping he had left his injuries in the past.
The number seven has looked sharp and has been key in Erik ten Hag’s pressing system in the opening fortnight of the Premier League.
Mount was taken off at half-time with the Dutch coach admitting that the former Chelsea man had picked up an issue during the first half at the Amex stadium.
The attacking midfielder suffered a hamstring issue that will keep him out for around four to five weeks where he will miss several fixtures as the season heats up after the upcoming international break.

With Mount’s injury confirmed he will miss Sunday’s match against rivals Liverpool before the first international break of the season.
Joshua Zirkzee will likely now take Mount’s place in attack with Bruno Fernandes returning to a familiar creative role behind the Dutch striker.
After the international break, the midfielder is expected to be out for another three to four weeks missing key fixtures like Tottenham Hotspur in late September.
