WWE Superstar Kiana James confirmed her knee injury and shared an update on her recovery.

After spending over two years in WWE NXT, James joined the main roster in the 2024 WWE Draft. She made an impact by defeating Natalya in her debut match on WWE RAW. However, her run on the main roster never gained momentum. Her last match took place on the June 17 episode of Raw. James competed against IYO SKY and Zelina Vega in a Money in the Bank qualifier match.

After her last match, Kiana James was taken off WWE TV. PWInsider.com reported in September 2024 that WWE moved her to the Miscellaneous section of the roster because she wasn’t cleared to wrestle. She suffered a leg injury, which will keep her out for at least six months.

Now, after almost seven months, a major update on Kiana James has arrived. She recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to confirm her injury and update fans by sharing a video from her recovery progress.

While the timeline for Kiana James’ return remains unknown, it will be interesting to see if she makes her comeback ahead of WrestleMania 41 after providing an update. Johnson’s initial report in September estimated James would miss “at least” six months.

James was selected by RAW in the 2024 WWE Draft. She appeared in some backstage segments, and competed at two WWE Main Event tapings. James made her main roster in-ring debut on the June 3 episode of WWE RAW. She has been absent since her appearance on June 17. There, she competed in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
